Scout Troop 245

Since 1910, Scouting has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes and, through nearly a century of experience, understands that helping youth puts us on a path toward a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Locally, the Boy Scouts of America, Juniata Valley Council, serves nearly 1,700 youth members and 1,000 volunteer adult leaders throughout Centre, Huntingdon, Mifflin, and Juniata Counties.

On my honor I will do my best

To do my duty to God and my country
And to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
Mentally awake, and morally straight.

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.
